Elections in Malaysia exist at two levels: national level and state level. National level elections are those for membership in the Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of Parliament, while state level elections are for membership in the various State Legislative Assemblies. The head of the executive branch, the Prime Minister, is indirectly elected.

  1. Malaysia's Election Commission has announced an 80% voter turnout, a highest in the country's history.
  2. The GE13 psy war begins as both coalitions claim they've won the elections
  3. Malaysia's prime minister has denied chartering planes to move tens of thousands of voters into marginal constituencies for Sunday's election.

His party, the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), said the flights had been paid for by supporters and not by Prime Minister Najib Razak's office.
