Election Commission has banned broadcast or publication of any kind of opinion poll and exit poll by any print or electronic media from 7 am on April 11.
This restriction will continue till May 19 at 6.00 PM. The Commission imposed a ban on the basis of Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. According to the section, ‘no person shall hold any kind of exit poll or publish or make public.
